Welcome to Noon Rotary Club of Yucca Valley.

The Rotary Club of Yucca Valley has announced the annual Festival of Light Parade being held on Saturday,
December 9, 2017 at 5:30 PM.

“This year’s theme is “Light up the World” and we are proud to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the holiday
annual tradition,” said club spokesperson Cynthia Kraemer.

The club is seeking clubs, organizations, businesses or individuals to enter their float, car, boat, truck, pets or
anything they can light up!  Entry forms are available at the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, at Realty
Professionals of the Morongo Basin, or online here.  Entries are $25 each. Entries must have self powered lights and
be as bright as possible.

Following the parade there is  a chance for the kids to come see Santa and receive a gift, see a puppet show and view
all the parade entries.  This will be held at the Hi Desert Water District offices.

The parade is sponsored by Southern California Edison, Hi Desert Publishing, Z107 radio, Hi Desert Water District,
the town of Yucca Valley and Yucca Valley Rotary.

Awards will be given out for those entries that are extra special in 5 categories. More information can be obtained by
calling Cynthia at 760-365-1988.
The needs spanning Rotary's six areas of focus are vast, ranging from lack of access to clean water to the need for immunization that prevent deadly diseases. Learn more in the Rotary's Areas of Focus publication.

Rotary clubs serve communities around the world, each with unique concerns and needs. Rotarians have continually adapted and improved the way they respond to those needs, taking on a broad range of service projects. The most successful and sustainable Rotary service tends to fall within one of the following six areas:

Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
Disease prevention and treatment
Water and sanitation
Maternal and child health
Basic education and literacy
Economic and community development
